Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Emmanuel Chapel based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
God
We believe God is the creator of the Universe and He created mankind in His own image to have fellowship with Himself and to be stewards over all His creation. He is perfect in wisdom, sovereignty, holiness, justice, mercy and love. We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I Tim 1:17; Psalm 86:15; Deu. 32:3-4,Gen. 1:26-28.
Jesus
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world. He died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins, was buried and God raised him from the dead on the third day. We believe that salvation is received by placing our faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross. I Tim 2:4; Eph.2:8-9; Act.20:21
Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person, Executive of the Godhead on Earth, the comforter sent by Jesus Christ to indwell, to guide and to teach the believer, and to convince the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. He empowers the believer to live a holy life devoted to the fulfillment of the Church's Great Commission. Act 1:8, Jn 14:16-18 Jn 16:8-13
The Bible
We believe the entire Bible is inspired by God, without error and the authority on which we base our faith, conduct and doctrine.
2 Tim 3:16
2 Tim 3:16
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of which Christ is the head and all who trust in the cross are born of the Spirit and are members. Ephesians 1:22-23; Romans 12:4-5, 1Cor 12:27
Baptism
We believe that persons who respond to the gospel and repent of their sins should be baptized in obedience to the Lord. Mat 28:19
Personal Relationship
We believe every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God’s Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit and by being conformed to the image of Christ.
Acts 5:29, 32 Rom 6:16, 8:29
Acts 5:29, 32 Rom 6:16, 8:29
Communion
We believe in taking Communion as an act of remembering
what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross. Luke 22:19

Abundant Life
We believe as children of God, we are over comers and more than conquerors and
God intends for each of us to experience the abundant life
He has in store for us. Jn.1:12, Jn.10:10

The Return of Christ
We believe the personal return of Christ will bring about the end of the present age,
the Judgment and the beginning of the glorious age to come. Mat. 24:3, 27,30,37,39

will bring all things to their appropriate end and establish the new heaven
and the new earth. Ephesians. 1:9-10, Revelation 21:1.
